Strike ballot closes tomorrow, (sent 18 July 2023)
Tēnā koe Member,
Note: this message is about the strike ballot over lack of progress in bargaining with Te Whatu Ora over wages and conditions. The strike ballot is an entirely separate issue to Nursing Pay Equity and the two should not be confused.
NZNO members employed by Te Whatu Ora who attended online meetings from 22-26 June voted overwhelmingly to launch a ballot for strike action over the collective agreement.
This ballot got underway last Tuesday 11 July and will close at midday on Wednesday 19 July. It is essential there is high member participation in the strike ballot. There has been good member turnout in the ballot so far.
The outcome will be determined by 50 percent plus one of those who vote. Please vote, and encourage workmates to do so as well.
More information about the process leading up to this point is in our recent email.
