Strike ballot launches tomorrow (sent 10 July 2023)
Tēnā koe Member,
NZNO members employed by Te Whatu Ora who attended online meetings from 22-26 June voted overwhelmingly to launch a ballot for strike action over the collective agreement.
Tomorrow (Tuesday 11 July) NZNO members employed by Te Whatu Ora in roles covered by the collective agreement will be emailed a link to vote in a secure online strike ballot. The ballot will be open 11-19 July using Election Runner and will include the dates and times of proposed strike action.
Why is this strike ballot important?
It is essential there is high member participation in the strike ballot. The next collective agreement negotiations will take place on Wednesday and Thursday (12-13 July) and the ballot is important to putting pressure on Te Whatu Ora to come up with a better offer.
More information about the process leading up to this point is in our recent email.
