NZNO-HNZ CA Negotiations Day 6

Today HNZ started to have dialogue with us in respect to costing our monetary claims. However, there is still no actual pay offer on the table.

We also spent some time discussing various concerns around the Health and Safety Act and the functions of HSRs.

In respect of ratios we reiterated that we see this as being used in areas with no CCDM, as well as working alongside CCDM in areas where CCDM is working.

Our next negotiation dates are 26 and 27 January 2023 to be held in Christchurch. Prior to this, on 24 and 25 January a small group of NZNO and HNZ team members will be meeting to discuss/progress four specific claims – that being 'the nurse in charge', HCA professional development, clinical supervision and te Tiriti related claims.
